My name is Dr. Jeannie Brisson and I have dedicated my life to give you safe, effective, proven alternatives to help solve your health issues.
My passion for healing has been with me ever since I can remember. I was born with the ability to feel what other people are feeling and my natural inclination is to sooth pain in whatever way I can.
I am one of six siblings in a family that has experienced a lot of trauma. Yet the resources available at the time were inadequate to deal effectively with the root causes of the pain and suffering associated with that trauma.
I watched my mother and sisters have hysterectomies for psycho-emotional issues, then be placed on psychotropic or opiate drugs that created dependency but did nothing to heal them.
My way of dealing with the pain and addiction in my family was through the study of science and medicine – a medicine that was in alignment with my principles and values.
I believe:
that we should work with the body’s natural healing capacity
that we should look for the root cause of dis-ease and illness
that we should treat the whole person and not just the physical symptoms
and that a doctor should teach healthy lifestyles and habits
So instead of taking the safe road to become an MD, with the instant respect and credibility, I choose to practice a medicine that not many people know about. That medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, seeks to heal the whole person through the use of natural therapeutics.
